England's Test Tour to UAE
Pakistan v England
January-February 2012

A new destination awaits travelling supporters as England visit two of the seven sovereign sheikhdoms that complete the United Arab Emirates. England arrive in Dubai on January 3rd for a two-month tour programme that will include three Tests, four one-day internationals and three T20 Internationals.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are well known as the modern day crossroads of the Middle East and tempt visitors with world class hotels and resorts, great beaches, amazing man-made attractions and year-round sunshine.

The city of Dubai was once a small fishing settlement that has grown at an astonishing rate to become one of the most luxurious, chic and cosmopolitan cities in the Middle East. Surrounded by desert and mountains, the city is divided by a creek that splits the commercial centre of Dubai in two. Home to some of the world’s most famous and iconic hotels and with excellent shopping, dining and leisure facilities, Dubai has something for everyone.

Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE and graced with parks, tree-lined boulevards, white sand beaches and a thriving metropolis. As one of the world's richest cities, luxury and style fuse with tradition and culture, seducing you with atmospheric souks, stylish hotels, fine dining and incredible shopping. Abu Dhabi’s focal point is the Corniche, a verdant network of beachfront walkways, while its oldest building is the legendary White Fort. Enjoy white beaches and the inviting ocean, or adventure out into the vast desert for sand skiing and off-road safari.

Dubai International Cricket Stadium

One of the most amazing cricketing arenas in the world, the 25,000-seater Dubai Cricket Stadium is affectionately known as the 'Ring of Fire' due to its unique floodlighting system. With state-of-the-art players' facilities and spectators' needs at the forefront of the stadium's design, it's easy to see why the world's best players believe this to be one of the best venues in world cricket.

Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi

The Sheikh Zayed Stadium is arguably one of the world's finest cricket grounds. Opened in May 2004 the ground is dominated by two large stands at either end, with the areas square of the wicket offering large grass banking for spectators, although during the daylight hours that might be less than appealing as there is no shade. There is no pavilion as such, with the large changing rooms under one of the stands, and teams watch from inside air-conditioned glass rooms.

Enjoy the small group atmosphere

Holidays are not only about what you will see and experience … they’re also about the people you meet and the great times you share. As well as exploring new and exciting places, one of the best discoveries you’ll make is the group spirit and camaraderie of your fellow travellers. Being part of a small group you will quickly make friends with other travellers attracted to our style of travel … like-minded people from all walks of life.

Solo Travellers

Many of the people who join us on one of our holidays are travelling by themselves, so if you’re a solo traveller, rest assured that you’ll be with other like-minded people. On any given departure, you’ll find a mix of couples and friends travelling together, as well as other solo travellers. One of the great benefits of our trips is that they allow you to be independent but provide security and company whenever you choose.

Match Tickets

All match tickets are guaranteed as we purchase directly from Official sources. Test match tickets are sold to international supporters on a ‘season ticket’ basis, with no refund for unused tickets. The cost price of your tickets will be added as a separate charge on your holiday invoice.

The Social Side

Welcome drinks, cricket forum and tour dinners are planned to let you meet your fellow travellers, tour host and local tour manager in an informal and social setting. These popular gatherings allow you to debate England’s current performance, while your tour host provides his own personal match analysis and answers as many questions as time permits from the floor.

Tour Host

In addition to experienced local tour managers, our ever popular cricket hosts will be in attendance - subject to minimum group sizes being attained.

Hand Picked Hotels

Our luxurious 5 Star hotels have been carefully selected to enhance your holiday experience and to esnure your comfort and security. At the end of the day’s cricket or touring, you’ll want to freshen up and relax in a hotel that makes you feel at home. That’s why we never skimp on quality and carefully choose our hotels for their superior level of comfort and service, excellent amenities, friendly staff and convenient and safe location. Please read our hotel descriptions in conjunction with other tourist information for the areas you will be visiting.
