Depart Heathrow on your overnight South African Airways flight to Johannesburg.

Tue 15 Dec    Johannesburg

Arrive Johannesburg where you will be met and transferred to the exclusive residential and shopping district of Sandton and the Balalaika Hotel for 6 nights. Tonight’s ‘Welcome to Africa’ reception is an opportunity to meet your fellow travellers and tour host over drinks and canapés.

Wed 16- Sun 20 Dec   1st TEST - CENTURION

Roundtrip transfers to/from SuperSport Park will be provided. Transfer time will be about 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions. During the week you are invited to a Cricket Forum in the company of your tour host and fellow travellers. Drinks will be provided. 

Mon 21 Dec    Johannesburg / Mabula Private Game Reserve

Just two hours drive North of Johannesburg and you arrive at the African wonder that is Mabula. This 12,000-hectare, malaria free reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife and birds, including the world famous Big Five. Stay based on Full Board. On arrival enjoy a welcome drink followed by lunch, then relax at the lodge's sparkling pool or in the Buck and Lion Bar before embarking on a late afternoon game drive. Remember to bring along a light coat, binoculars and camera. At sunset the landrovers stop in the bush for a refreshing ‘sundowner’. As darkness approaches the trackers will scan the bush with powerful spotlights for any nocturnal wildlife. Return to the camp for dinner in the Lodge Restaurant.

Tue 22 Dec    Mabula Game Reserve

Up early today for hot drinks and biscuits before embarking on a dawn safari as the sun rises over the African bush. Mabula is home to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, hippo, crocodile, rhino, impala and giraffe. Return to the camp for a hearty breakfast. Spend a relaxing day by the pool or perhaps take a bush walk with your ranger. Enjoy lunch followed by a siesta to make up for your early morning start. Late afternoon, embark on another exciting game drive into the African bushveld before returning to the camp for a traditional boma dinner under the stars. 

Wed 23 Dec    Mabula Game Reserve

Another early start as you embark on your morning game drive. Return to camp for breakfast and lunch and spend the day by the pool. Late afternoon game drive followed by dinner.

Thu 24 Dec    Mabula / Durban

Enjoy a lazy breakfast before preparing for your transfer to Johannesburg airport (approx 2 hours) for the flight to Durban. On arrival in Durban you will be met and transferred to the Royal Palm Hotel for 7 nights.

Christmas Eve Dinner - Tonight we have booked tables at Moyo, one of Durban’s landmark restaurants where you will enjoy a real African dining experience 

Fri 25 Dec    Durban

The capital of KwaZula-Natal offers a laid-back lifestyle focused on the great outdoors, combined with an interesting history remembered in a series of battle sites, museums and memorials. Tonight you are invited for Christmas drinks with your fellow travellers who arrive today.

Sat 26- Wed 30 Dec    2ND TEST - DURBAN

Daily transfers to/from Sahara Stadium, Kingsmead will be provided. 

Thu 31 Dec    Durban / Johannesburg / London (18.40 / 07.20)

Enjoy a final day in sub-tropical Durban before preparing for the journey home. Transfer to Durban airport for the flight to Johannesburg and your connecting flight to London
