Depart Heathrow on your overnight South African Airways flight to Johannesburg.
Wed 23 Dec Johannesburg / Mabula Game Reserve
On arrival you will be met and transferred by luxury coach to the African Bush, the perfect start to any holiday. Just two hours drive north of Johannesburg and you arrive at Mabula, a 12,000-hectare, malaria free private reserve that is home to an abundance of wildlife and birds, including the famous Big Five. Stay based on Full Board. On arrival enjoy a welcome drink followed by lunch, then relax at the lodge's sparkling pool before embarking on a late afternoon game drive. At sunset the landrovers stop in the bush for a refreshing ‘sundowner’. As darkness approaches the trackers will scan the bush with powerful spotlights for any nocturnal wildlife. Return to the camp for dinner and a good night’s sleep.
Thu 24 Dec Mabula Game Reserve
Up early today for hot drinks and biscuits before embarking on a dawn safari as the sun rises over the African bush. Mabula is home to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, hippo, crocodile, rhino, impala and giraffe. Return to the camp for a hearty breakfast. Spend a relaxing day by the pool or perhaps take a bush walk with your ranger. Enjoy lunch followed by a siesta to make up for your early morning start. Late afternoon, embark on another exciting game drive into the African bushveld before returning to the camp for a traditional boma dinner under the stars.
Fri 25 Dec Mabula / Durban
Another early start for a final game drive in the African bush. Return to camp for a memorable Christmas Day breakfast in the African Bush. Collect your luggage and transfer to Johannesburg airport for the flight to Durban. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Royal Palm Hotel for 6 nights.
Tonight you are invited for Christmas drinks with your fellow travellers on Springbok 1.

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cape Town. Arrive Cape Town where you will be met and transferred to the Arabella Westin Hotel for 8 nights. The hotel is located 5 minutes taxi ride from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront with its wide array of bars, restaurants and trendy boutiques.
Tonight we have arranged for all Sporting Traveller guests to enjoy a special New Years Eve Dinner at Baia Restaurant and Cocktail Bar in a prime location in the bustling V&A Waterfront. The evening includes welcome drinks and a sumptuous 4 course dinner.

Ranking alongside Sydney and San Francisco as one of the world’s most popular cities, Cape Town is flanked by the Atlantic Ocean and towering Table Mountain. Must-see sights include Table Mountain (cable car ticket included for all clients), Robben Island and the stunning scenery of Cape Point.
Sat 02 Jan Cape Winelands Tour
Enjoy a full day tour to the beautiful Cape Winelands. Visit Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, enjoy a cellar tour and wine tasting at one of the region's top estates, followed by a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. Return to the hotel late afternoon.
