Depart Heathrow on your flight to Singapore with onward connection to Cairns.
Tue 21 Dec Cairns
On arrival you will be met and transferred to The Lakes Resort for a 3 night stay – room and breakfast basis. Cairns is the gateway to the Tropical North, where rainforest meets the reef and provides the perfect base from which to explore the wonderful sights of tropical Queensland.

Thu 23 Dec Barrier Reef Cruise
Today’s spectacular full day cruise to Australia’s magnificent marine park – the Great Barrier Reef will be a memorable experience. Departing from Marina Mirage in Port Douglas Quicksilver’s wavepiercing catamaran will take you to Agincourt Reef, a magnificent ribbon reef at the Great Barrier Reef. Included are morning and afternoon teas, a buffet lunch, all snorkelling equipment, underwater observatory fish & coral viewing, coral viewing by semi-submersible vessels.
Fri 24 Dec Cairns / Melbourne
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Melbourne. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel for a 7 night stay. State capital of Victoria, Melbourne is more European than other Australian cities, with leafy avenues fringed by pavement cafes connected by a myriad of alleyways and shopping arcades. Melbourne will show you a good time with its rich mix of theatres, festivals, art, sport, music and fine food. Tonight you are invited for a 'Welcome to Oz' drink to meet your tour host and fellow travellers.
Sat 25 Dec Christmas Lunch
After a lazy start to the day it’s time to board the coach and leave the city behind. Our Christmas lunch venue is the sumptuous Chateau Yering Hotel, situated 50 minutes drive from Melbourne in the Yarra Valley. A sweeping rose-bordered driveway takes you to the beautifully restored hotel. Once, the place for many a Victorian weekend party, it is now a gracious five star hotel.

Venue: The MCG
Take a leisurely stroll to the MCG which is an easy 20-25 minute walk from the city centre hotels, alternatively you can utilise the readily available tram network. The venue for the 4th Test is a truly awesome sporting stadium that will welcome a staggering 100,000 spectators to the traditional Boxing Day start of the Test. The social calendar for the week includes a Sporting Traveller cricket forum with drinks and finger buffet.
Fri 31 Dec Melbourne / Sydney
Depart Melbourne on the short flight to Sydney. On arrival transfer to your chosen hotel for an 8 night stay. Sydney is a stunning, cosmopolitan city that will simply take your breath away. There’s the picturesque harbour, majestic Opera House and magnificent Harbour Bridge for starters. Away from the city you’ll discover great surfing beaches, the majestic Blue Mountains and a host of great wineries in the Hunter Valley.
Tonight we have arranged a great introduction to the city with what promises to be a spectacular New Years Eve Dinner at a prime waterfront restaurant. Overlooking Sydney’s famous harbour, harbour bridge and opera house, you’ll be in a great location to enjoy a firework display to end all firework displays. Premium brand drinks and a sumptuous 4 course dinner will be supplemented by live music and dancing.
