Every Whale Watch tour is a unique experience and sightings may vary from day to day. Giant sperm whales are the star of the show and are year-round residents. A typical Whale Watch tour may encounter fur seals, pods of Dusky dolphins and the endangered Wandering Albatross.

For those choosing to swim with the dolphins, all diving gear is supplied. The Dusky dolphins inhabit the coastal waters off Kaikoura year round, making it a unique place in the world where wild dolphins can be encountered every day, weather permitting.
