Thu 28 Feb    Kaikoura Whalewatch or Swim with Dolphins
Drive to the small township of Kaikoura, located in a narrow strip of stunning coastline that lies between mountain peaks and the Pacific Ocean. Here you have the opportunity to experience one of two amazing marine activities, both lasting approximately 3 hours.

Every Whale Watch tour is a unique experience and sightings may vary from day to day. Giant sperm whales are the star of the show and are year-round residents. A typical Whale Watch tour may encounter fur seals, pods of Dusky dolphins and the endangered Wandering Albatross.

For those choosing to swim with the dolphins, all diving gear is supplied. The Dusky dolphins inhabit the coastal waters off Kaikoura year round, making it a unique place in the world where wild dolphins can be encountered every day, weather permitting.

Fri 29 Feb    Lake Tekapo, Mt Cook National Park
Leave Christchurch after breakfast and head across the Canterbury Plains into the MacKenzie High Country. Marvel at the turquoise blue glacial lakes at Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki, the famous tiny Church of the Good Shepherd and mile after mile of stunning alpine scenery as you approach Mount Cook National Park. Arrive at Aoraki Mt Cook Hermitage Hotel and overnight. Dinner is included.

The National Park covers over 70,000 hectares of breathtaking alpine scenery and is also home to the Tasman Glacier, the longest in the Southern hemisphere (optional Ski-plane and helicopter flights are available subject to weather conditions).

Sat 01 Mar    Tasman Glacier Explorer, Lake Wanaka & Queenstown
Experience the Tasman Glacier in the most unique way possible. An experienced guide will whisk you away in a stable MAC Boat to explore the melting ice-face of the Tasman Glacier where you will also get to touch and taste 400-year old icebergs that have been carved into the murky waters of the lake. Depart Mount Cook and head to Lake Wanaka before crossing over the spectacular Crown Range to Queenstown, a beautiful alpine resort regarded as New Zealand's premier holiday destination.

Sun 02 - Mon 03 Mar    Explore Queenstown & Fiordland National Park
Two full days to experience this magnificent resort. Queenstown boasts adventure activities in all forms, from extreme to relaxed exploration. Here you can take a thrilling jet boat ride, pan for gold, raft white water rapids, take a wine trail, fish for trout, play golf or 4WD sheer canyons. It is also a great base from which to explore the Fiordland National Park, and optional day tours and overnight cruises to the awesome Milford and Doubtful Sounds are available.

Tue 04 Mar    Fly Queenstown to Auckland
Enjoy a lazy breakfast before boarding the coach for the airport and your flight north to the ‘City of Sails’.With the lack of hotel accommodation and tourist infrastructure in Hamilton, Auckland is our chosen venue for the 1st Test. With three harbours, two mountain ranges, 48 volcanic cones and more than 50 islands, in addition to fantastic sightseeing and leisure activities, Auckland has something for everyone.

Wed 05 - Sun 09 Mar    1st TEST- NEW ZEALAND v ENGLAND - HAMILTON
Transfer time to Hamilton is about 90 minutes so an early start is required to ensure you are in your seats at Seddon Park ready for the 10.30 start of play. On the final day of the Test, the coach will leave Hamilton and head for the geothermal city of Rotorua.

Sun 09 Mar    Auckland, Hamilton and Rotorua
Check out of the hotel and board the coach for Hamilton. At the close of play the coach will continue to the bubbling geysers and boiling mud pools of Rotorua. Easy to explore on foot, Rotorua has a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants that will tempt you away from the hotel.

Mon 10 Mar    Lake Tarawera Cruise and Rotorua Sightseeing
Cruise across the pristine clear waters of Lake Tarawera at the base of a gigantic dormant volcano before stopping to soak in the thermal waters of Hot Water Beach. A jetski is also included for those wishing to head out onto the lake. Enjoy a gourmet BBQ picnic lunch before visiting the Blue and Green Lakes and the famous buried village of Te Wairoa. The final stop of the day is Te Puia Thermal Reserve where you can stand on volcanoes, peer into massive craters and see boiling mud and exploding geysers.

Tue 11 Mar    Lake Taupo / Wellington
An hour south of Rotorua is Lake Taupo, formed from a gigantic volcanic crater following an enormous explosion in AD183. View Huka Falls and the Wairakei Geothermal project before the coach heads south into the rural heartland before arriving in Wellington, the Nation's capital. Enjoy a brief sightseeing and orientation tour before checking into your chosen hotel.

Wed 12 Mar    Explore Wellington
Wellington is the arts and culture capital of New Zealand. Te Papa, New Zealand's national museum, is on Wellington's waterfront and a visit here is highly recommended, as is a visit to the top of Mount Victoria by cable car. A selection of Lord of the Rings Tours are also available. Tonight enjoy an Eve of Test drinks reception with your cricket host and fellow travellers.
