PORTUGAL CAR HIRE INFORMATION

Having a car on a golfing holiday really is essential if planning to play several different courses and wanting to explore beyond your resort.

We have specially negotiated rates with Auto Jardim, one of the Portugal's largest and most respected car hire companies who only provide quality modern vehicles.

INCLUDED in all our 3 and 7 night holiday prices is car hire based on 2 or more people travelling, see panel below for allocated car.

UPGRADED larger and automatic cars are available at a supplement. These must be requested at time of booking to take advantage of the special rates. Please call for details.

DURATIONS are based on one day = 24 hours plus an hours grace on return.

RATES INCLUDE unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver (CDW) and Airport taxes and are based on 2 adults sharing.

CDW EXCESS COVER All cars include Collision Damage Waiver, but an excess payment will be charged in case of damage to the car. This can be avoided by taking out local insurance. The maximum Excess charge and optional insurance for each car group are detailed below.

The Excess, or a portion of it, will only be charged in case of damage. Please ensure you thoroughly check the car when collecting it.

AIRPORT RENTAL DESKS are open daily 06.00 – 24.00 hours. Pick-up and Drop-off outside of these hours will incur a 14 euros charge payable locally.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS can be added at a charge of 17 euros (Nov 06 – Mar 07) each, paid locally. Additional drivers must be identified at the time of collection and added to the rental contract for insurance purposes.

YOUNG DRIVERS between 21 and 25 years must pay an additional tax of 3.50 euros per day locally to Auto Jardim.

ROOF RACKS are on request at time of booking. A daily fee of 5.50 euros (minimum of 16.50, maximum of 77 euros) per rental payable locally to Auto Jardim.

BABY CHAIRS are on request at time of booking. A daily charge of 4.50 euros to be paid locally to Auto Jardim.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI) is available at a cost of 4 euros per day payable direct to Auto Jardim. Many travel insurance policies include this cover so please check your policy.

IMPORTANT all drivers will be required to present a valid full British Driving licence and credit card in their own name. Cars are provided with a full tank of petrol and should be returned full, clients will be asked to leave a credit card deposit equal to a full tank.
