1. Tee Times
|
1a. Tee Time Requests
We strongly recommend you request your tee times as early as possible, preferably at the time of booking your holiday. Once we have received your requests we will send an invoice confirming your requests and adding the green fee costs.
On receipt of your requests we will endeavour to meet your preferences for times, courses and dates through our locally appointed agents. Courses, dates and times are all subject to local availability and we cannot guarantee to meet your requests. If an exact match is not possible we will offer the nearest available alternative.
Once all the golf is confirmed we will send our confirmation invoice showing the dates, course and times confirmed. Once the tee times are confirmed by a Golf Club we reserve the right to charge a £10 amendment fee should you decide to change them.
Green fees will be payable with the rest of your balance.
Should we ever have to amend your tee time after confirmation (the golf club may alter them due to competitions etc.) we will endeavour to find a suitable alternative. Changes to golfing arrangements are not considered as ‘Major changes’.
Please note that some courses may either close completely, or for several hours because of locally organised tournaments. Whenever we are aware of such instances we will advise you in advance, but please remember that this is sometimes done at short notice and we are not always advised.
|
1b. Cancellation of Tee Times
Cancellation of actual confirmed tee times may incur cancellation charges up to the value of the green fee, subject to the cancellation policy of the course involved. |
2. Green Fees
|
2a. Discounted Golf Rates
These specially negotiated rates are only available if pre-booked and pre-paid prior to departure. Any changes in resort may be subject to additional charges. |
2b. Green Fee Vouchers
These will be provided in your final travel documentation and should be presented to the golf club at least 15 minutes prior to your tee time. |
3. Handicaps
|
3a. Handicap Certificates These days all courses require golfers to produce a valid handicap certificate. Courses may turn golfers away if they do not have an official handicap. It is the responsibility of each golfer to present this proof to the course officials. The course may not refund green fees if you do not do this. |
4. Course Information
|
4a. Caddies Many courses in South Africa offer the chance to hire caddies (on some courses they are compulsory), the average price being between 100 to 120 Rand, it's a great way to gain some local knowledge of the course. Please remember it is customary policy to tip the caddies. |
4b. Course Conditions We cannot be held responsible for the actual playing conditions caused by weather conditions or maintenance, which are outside of our control. Wherever possible, when we have been advised, we will advise you of any maintenance work. |
4c. Course Closures The closure of a course due to adverse weather is entirely at the discretion of the golf club. In these circumstances we will need written confirmation from the club to advise that it was closed before we will consider a refund. |
4d. Single Golfers, two and three balls Golf clubs reserve the right to match players up to make 4 balls.
Single golfers on courses where buggies are included are liable to pay an additional local charge for single use.
|
5. Equipment
|
5a. Buggies In most cases courses are unable to guarantee the supply as they see it as a ‘wish’ rather than a ‘must’. Due to the inconsistent supply we are unable to pre book buggies. We can provide a contact number should clients wish to do this locally 24-48 hours in advance. The course reserve the right to exclude buggy use due to weather conditions.
NB: If you are planning to use a buggy check your insurance policy for ‘personal liability cover’ when driving a buggy. Most courses hire on an ‘own risk’ basis. |
5b. Soft Spikes It is now common practise on all courses in South Africa to insist on soft spikes. Although some courses have the facility to change them we strongly recommend that clients have soft spikes fitted before travel. |
5c. Carriage Of Clubs Most schedule airlines generally accept carriage of golf equipment ‘space and weight’ permitting, in addition to your normal check-in luggage allowance of 20kg. You will be advised at the time of your quote of any special circumstances.
|
6. Non Golfers |
As golfers with ‘non playing partners’ we are only to well aware that not everyone (surprising as it may seem) wants to play golf ! As a result we have selected well located hotels, many with great leisure facilities for non golfers and families.
