Day 1
Arrive Durban International airport and collect your car hire. Drive 20 minutes North along the coast to Umhalanga Rocks. Rest of the day free to explore this up-market coastal town. Overnight Protea Umhalanga Hotel.
Day 2
Breakfast. Morning round of golf at the Zimbali golf course, approximately 20 minutes north of Umhalanga Rocks. Afternoon free to perhaps explore the Gateway shopping mall, the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. Overnight Protea Umhalanga Hotel.
Day 3
Breakfast. Round of golf at Durban Country Club. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the delights of Durban, South Africa’s third largest city, from the ‘Golden Mile’ beachfront to the diverse range of restaurants and bars, Marine Parade and Victoria Market. Overnight Protea Umhalanga Hotel.
Day 4
Breakfast. A full day at leisure allowing time to drive north to visit the St.Lucia Wetlands – World Heritage site, or travel inland to visit some of the historical Natal battlefields like Rorke’s Drift or Isandlwana. A full day required for both these tours. Overnight Protea Umhalanga Hotel.
Day 5
Breakfast. Drive south towards Durban for a round at the Durban Beachwood course. Afterwards continue south to Scottburgh and the Selborne Lodge one of South Africa’s premier resorts. Overnight.
Day 6
Breakfast. A morning round on Selborne Country Club Golf Course. Afternoon and evening free to enjoy the facilities and private beach club of this top class resort. Overnight Selborne Lodge.
Day 7
Breakfast. Enjoy the drive north along the coast back to Durban, returning your hire car at the airport. Flight to Cape Town. On arrival collect your car hire, or, alternatively transfer to your chosen hotel and have the hire car delivered (small extra charge). Rest of day at leisure to explore the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Overnight at your chosen hotel.
Day 8
Breakfast. Morning round of golf at Milnerton Golf Club, offering great views of Table Bay. Afternoon free to explore Cape Town, Signal Hill and some of its surrounding beaches including Camps Bay. Overnight at your chosen hotel.
Day 9
Breakfast. Morning round of golf at Westlake Golf Club. Afternoon visit to the summit of Table Mountain, reached via cable car. Overnight At your chosen hotel.
Day 10
Breakfast. Take a full day to explore Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, taking in the drive along Chapman’s Peak, a stop at Fish Hoek for lunch and then a visit to the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Overnight at your chosen hotel.
Day 11
Drive to the Winelands, round of golf at the Stellenbosch Golf Club. Afternoon free to visit Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, located in the heart of the Winelands, offering the chance to enjoy some wine tasting in a local estate. Overnight at your chosen hotel.
Day 12
Breakfast. Morning round of golf at the Royal Cape Golf Club, the oldest in South Africa. Afternoon free to take a ferry trip to Robben Island, now established as a Museum and National Monument, and visit Nelson Mandela’s prison cell and the lime stone quarry where he was forced to work. Overnight at your chosen hotel.
Day 13
An opportunity to enjoy your last morning in Cape Town and take in the views from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and get any last minute shopping. Afternoon return car hire to Cape Town airport prior to your return flight to the UK.
