Over 30 years old and the popularity of the Hong Kong 7's just keeps on growing, especially with England's success in the Sevens in recent years. Hong Kong is one of the world's most exciting holiday destinations and the sevens party lasts the whole weekend, as do the hangovers!

HOTEL OPTIONS
The Metropark Hotel Superior Medium Class
The modern Metropark is in the perfect position in Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island to enjoy the Hong Kong Sevens (15 minutes walk) and the city's many attractions. All rooms are en suite with satellite TV, telephone, safe, mini bar, fridge and coffee / tea making facilities. Harbour Parlour rooms are effectively junior suites, twice the size of other rooms with a comfortable seating area overlooking the Harbour, complimentary breakfast, complimentary broad band access and larger bathroom. Facilities include the Café du Parc restaurant, Vic’s bar with live music and a roof top gym, sauna & swimming pool (open subject to weather) offering stunning views of the city and harbour. All in all a great base for the Sevens.
L'Hotel Superior Medium Class
Just 5 minutes from the Metropark, this new hotel is also superbly located in Causeway Bay, close to Victoria Park, 15 minutes walk from the Sevens Stadium and directly adjacent to Tin Hau MTR Station, which can take you to any point in the city. Decorated in a tasteful combination of East and West it has a very contemporary feel. Rooms are very modern with hardwood floors, en suite facilities, satellite TV, safe, telephone, fridge, mini bar and tea / coffee making facilities. Facilities include the Starlight Restaurant that offers a fusion of Western and Oriental Cuisine, the Tin Hau Bar and a rooftop gym & swimming pool (open subject to weather) with harbour views. Another great hotel for the Sevens.
Airport Transfers
The best way to travel into the city is by Airport Express train. Running every 15 minutes you will be in Hong Kong city centre in just 23 minutes. Cost: £9 approx each way. On your return if you are travelling by Cathay Pacific there is also a free check-in service at the Hong Kong and Kowloon Stations for your flight home. For more details see Airport Information. Alternatively the Metropark offers a shuttle bus for approximately £15 each way.
HONG KONG STADIUM
Situated on Eastern Hospital Road the stadium is just a 15 minute walk from the Metropark & L'Hotel, 20 from Excelsior and 30 from the Renaissance. Seating in the stadium is 'free-seating' and is therefore on a first come first seated basis! To get the best seats you have to arrive early - especially Finals day. You can buy all manner of foods (including breakfast) and drinks at the stadium.
Wednesday 24 March
Evening departure from London Heathrow on your direct scheduled Cathay Pacific flight to Hong Kong.
Thursday 25 March
Arrive Hong Kong and make your own way to your chosen hotel for a 4 night stay.
Friday 26 March - Hong Kong Sevens
A day to explore Hong Kong before heading to the stadium for the first round of pool games.
Saturday 27 March - Hong Kong Sevens
The tournament kicks-off at the Hong Kong Government Stadium at around 11am and continues through to 6.30pm.
Sunday 28 March - Hong Kong Sevens - Finals Day
The 40,000-seater stadium is likely to be full today so arrive early to get the best choice of seating. Finals day kicks off at 10am with the final scheduled for 6pm.
Monday 29 March
Final day to enjoy the city or explore one of the neighbouring islands. You will probably have to check-out at lunchtime, but can leave your bags with the concierge until you depart for the airport. Please make your own way back to the airport in time for your late evening check-in. Arrive Heathrow early the following morning.
