A rugby weekend in Rome has established itself as one of the most popular events on the Six Nations calendar. The ‘Eternal City’ is one of the world's most exciting and beautiful cities, whose life buzzes amid a backdrop of breath-taking buildings, piazzas filed with restaurants and pavement cafes and a merry-go-round of cars, buses and mopeds.

SIX NATIONS FLIGHTS TO ROME
To allow you to take advantage of the low cost carriers that fly to Rome we haven't included flights in our weekend packages. However as a ATOL bonded Tour Operator we are happy to book these for you.

TRAVELLING IN FROM THE AIRPORT
Travelling to/from central Rome is quick and easy from Fiumicino Airport. The Leonardo Express train (departs from the airport terminal – approx 5 minutes walk from the arrivals hall) takes 30 minutes to Termini Station and costs €11 each way. Airport taxi prices vary depending on traffic conditions, an average journey of 30-40 minutes will cost approximately €50. From Ciampino Airport a taxi should be about the same price. Alternatively Terravision offer a direct coach service for €10 return.

FLAMINIO STADIUM
Flaminio is a single tier, all seated stadium situated in the northern part of the city, close to the Olympic Village. Traditionally the roads surrounding the stadium are blocked to traffic for major sporting events. Public transport will get you close - the Flaminio underground station is located just a short walk from the stadium.

SIX NATIONS HOTELS IN ROME
Rome hotels tend to be traditional European style properties, many having been palaces in a former life. The Italian star rating is slightly lower than ours and we would stress that standards can and do vary between hotels of the same class.
