Between the Tests we have included a visit to the thriving harbourside metropolis of Sydney, with or without a side trip to the continent's Red Centre, where the imposing natural rock formation of Uluru dominates the desert landscape. Sydney is Australia's most beautiful city, famous for its stunning location and iconic attractons and a great place to spend a few days sightseeing. Following Sydney, it's time to get back to the cricket as we fly to the relaxing and laid back city of Perth, capital of Western Australia and venue for the 3rd Ashes Test.

Adelaide is a small city and easy to explore on foot. Adelaide offers a welcoming Mediterranean climate, cafe-lined streets, leafy parklands, colonial architecture, fine wineries and a wide choice of quality restaurants. Tonight you are invited to our 'Welcome to Adelaide' drinks reception ahead of the first ever, day-night Ashes Test Match.
Sat 02 to Wed 06 December 2nd MAGELLAN ASHES TEST ADELAIDE AUSTRALIA v ENGLAND, ADELAIDE OVAL Adelaide Oval is easily reached by foot or on the free city tram. During the Test, join your tour host and fellow travellers for a few drinks and at our popular Q&A Cricket Forum On the first morning of the Test you are invited to the Official Cricket Australia Ashes function which is being held at Adelaide Convention Centre from 11.00am. The event lasts for 2 hours and includes entertainment, 2 course lunch, beer, wine and soft drinks. |
Thu 07 December Fly to Uluru (Ayers Rock)

We have included a Seafood Buffet Lunch Cruise on Sydney Harbour during your stay and if time allows would recommend you consider an optional day trip to the Blue Mountains or Hunter Valley. Sat 09 December Fly from Uluru to Sydney
If you visited Uluru you will rejoin the tour party today. On arrival in Sydney you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Make the most of your time and hit the streets and start exploring this spectacular city.
Sun 10 December Sydney Harbour Cruise
Meet your local guide in the hotel lobby at midday and walk to Circular Quay. No visit to Sydney is complete without a harbour cruise so enjoy this special Seafood Buffet Lunch Cruise which combines million dollar views with spectacular dining. After the cruise you will be escorted back to your hotel or you may prefer to visit the nearby Rocks Area or Sydney Opera House.
Tue 12 December Fly to Perth
You will be transferred to Sydney Airport for the flight to Perth. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel. Perth is vibrant yet laid back and one of the most attractive cities in Australia. Located on the banks of the Swan River and surrounded by parks and gardens, Perth boasts more sunshine hours than any other state capital. Tonight you are invited to our 'Welcome to Perth' drinks reception with your tour host and fellow travellers.
Wed 13 December Perth
Enjoy a lazy day relaxing at your hotel or head to one of Perths wonderful beaches. Tonight you are invited to the Official Cricket Australia Ashes function which is being held at the Pan Pacific Hotel from 5.00pm. The event lasts for 2 hours and includes entertainment, finger food, beer, wine and soft drinks.
Thu 14 to Mon 18 December 3rd MAGELLAN ASHES TEST PERTH AUSTRALIA v ENGLAND, THE WACA This will be the last hurrah for an Ashes Test at the WACA as the new Perth stadium will host all future series. The WACA is easily reached via public transport or is a leisurely walk when combined with a coffee/beer break along the way. During the Test, join your tour host for a few drinks at our popular Q&A Cricket Forum. |
Tue 19 December Perth / Dubai / London
Time to prepare for your journey home. Check out as normal and leave your bags with the hotel until you are ready to make your way to the airport. Board your flight to Dubai with connecting service to London Heathrow, arriving the following day.

Surrounded by the ghost gums and native shrubs that define the region, Desert Gardens Hotel is a stylish four star resort that forms part of the Ayers Rock Resort complex. A short stroll brings you to numerous lookouts for views of Australia’s most dramatic sunsets, with the spectacular play of colours across the face of Uluru. The hotel has a restaurant, pool, lawns for sunbathing and a bar for sundowners. The Grace Hotel, Sydney
Built by the Grace Brothers in the 1920s as a showpiece to their successful retail business. Today it has been beautifully restored to its former glory making it a fine example of Neo-Gothic architecture with contrasting Art Deco interior. Centrally located near Darling Harbour, the Grace Hotel is a 4-star property within walking distance of many of Sydney's famous sights and landmarks. There are 382 rooms, each with air conditioning, a minibar, in-room safe and ironing facilities. The hotel has two restaurants and two bars offering a range of buffet and a la carte options. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool and health club and their is free WIFI.
Ashes Ticket Descriptions
As we purchase match tickets directly from CATO (Cricket Australia Travel Office) as part of a hotel & ticket package, all match tickets are fully guaranteed. Ticket prices have been included in our Escorted Tour packages and include a ticket to each day of the Test. For the avoidance of doubt, irrespective of the Ticket Category purchased, Day Five tickets in all instances will be a general admission ticket (i.e. a non reserved seat). Having visited all match venues, we have selected GOLD category tickets for our packages (except Perth where we have chosen the top category PLATINUM should the match take place at the WACA. If the Test is moved to the New Perth Stadium we will change our featured ticket category to Gold seating). Please note, no refund applies to unused tickets should a match finish early.

How to book
When you have chosen the holiday you wish to book please call our sales team on 01737 244398 to check the availability of the tour.
To confirm your booking we need to collect a deposit payment equivalent to 25% of the total holiday price. When making holiday payments we encourage you to pay online by bank transfer or by debit card or personal cheque. We also accept credit card payments but they will incur a charge of 2% to cover bank charges.
A second interim payment of 25% is required by 25 April 2017 with the final balance due by 30 August 2017. The person signing the booking form will be treated as doing so on behalf of, and with the consent of, all the persons for whom the booking is made and is responsible for ensuring due payment of all monies. Please ensure you return your signed booking form, together with a copy of the photograph page of all travellers passports as soon as possible so we can arrange your Australian visa.
