Barbados Test Match
Venue for the 1st Test, Barbados mixes excellent restaurants, golf courses and a vibrant, calypso fueled nightlife with rolling countryside, world class beaches, quaint churches, historic plantation houses and rum distilleries. A relatively small coral island with a big personality, Barbados's appeal doesn’t just lie in its colonial influences and passion for cricket, but also in the distinctive culture; hypnotic music, friendly people and near perfect climate. The quieter east coast has a rugged shoreline with wild seas and many great walks, while the more developed south & west coasts boast a wide range of quality hotels, restaurants, boutiques, great beaches and watersports.

BARBADOS ITINERARY
Sat 19 Jan FLY to Barbados
Arrive Barbados, complete customs and immigration formalities, and proceed to the arrivals halls where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Barbados is stylish and sophisticated with all the coral sand beaches you could ever want to see. Bajans, as the islanders call themselves, are as West Indian as any of their neighbours and have tended to borrow rather than adopt English customs. You'll notice this the first time you visit Kensington Oval where the gentlemanly English game has a totally different rhythm. Nonetheless, there are old stone Anglican churches in every parish; horse races on Saturdays and portraits of Queen Elizabeth hang on many a wall. There’s plenty of action beyond the beach with hiking, golf, botanical gardens and historic plantation houses to explore. Enjoy your first barmy Caribbean evening.
Time to relax and acclimatise to your new surroundings. Clive & Linda Radley arrive late on the 20th, so will meet you in the morning for the Island Jeep Safari.
Mon 21 Jan Barbados - Island Jeep Safari
Following breakfast, climb aboard an open-topped 10-seater safari-style vehicle, for a day of on- and off-road exploration. You’ll be right in among the tropical greenery, with monkeys and wildly coloured birds, sometimes with sugar cane swishing above you on either side, and with so many wonderful views to snap away at it’s hard to know where to point your camera first. From the surfers’ paradise of Bathsheba Beach, to the viewpoint at Gun Hill Signal Station, the Atlantic-wave hewn caves at Little Bay, plus Andromeda Garden botanical gardens, and some very elegant colonial architecture, it’s an island of contrasts.
Tue 22 Jan Barbados - Mount Gay Rum Tour
With everyone now on the island ready for the 1st Test, this morning we head to a favourite beachside venue for Welcome cocktails, before it's time to head to an island institution. Rum and Barbados go hand in hand. Mount Gay is the oldest rum brand in existence and has been distilling on Barbados since 1703. At the home of this world famous tipple, you’ll have the opportunity to sample some of the finest Bajan rum and learn about the history of sugar cane in Barbados. Enjoy a Bajan Buffet lunch overlooking the ocean before its time to return to the hotel and your favourite sun lounger.
Wed 23 - Sun 27 Jan
